On Thursday, Sep. 24, Coach Brad Sims’ Tri-Valley boy’s golf team advanced in post season action with their third place finish at the D-I Sectional tournament held at River Greens golf course in Coshocton County.

New Philadelphia won the five-team Sectional title, with their team total of 308 strokes, followed by runnerup Maysville (317), and then the Scotties, with their team total of 322 strokes.

The top three teams advanced to the D-I District tournament, to be held on Sep. 30 at Eaglesticks golf course in South Zanesville.

Tri-Valley sophomore Dylan Hreha led the Scottie golfers with a solid round of 76, followed by junior Cale Preston (78), sophomore Tyler Hindel (82), and junior Braylen Schaumleffel (86).
