Coach Marc Hadley’s Tri-Valley varsity baseball team once again rode the strong arm of pitcher Tanner Henry on Tuesday, May 26, as the freshman hurler twirled a post-season gem – a no-hit, seven strike-out win over host and top seed Indian Creek, with the Scotties making the most of their seven hits enrout to a 3-1 victory over the Redskins.

With the win, Tri-Valley (17-12) advances on the tournament trail and will play New Philadelphia (20-4) on Thursday, May 28 at Hiland High School in the district title game, with a first pitch scheduled for 5:00 p.m. 

The Scotties got all the runs they would need to bolster Henry’s masterpiece with an Isaiah Cullins third inning rbi single, and fifth inning base hits that knocked in runs as well from Grady Lawler and Ryan Lamonica. Lawler also had a double for the winners.
