TVHS head football coach Austin Jones and his staff selected the following Scottie footballers as Players of the Week for their efforts in last Friday night’s 31-29 loss at Philo.

Offense – Madden Polvinko:  Madden has played solid at the receiver spot for us all year. He does a great job at knowing his responsibilities, and making plays when needed. Madden completed a huge catch for his team late in the 4th quarter to help set up the go ahead score.

Defense – Kaden Brock:  Kaden has been a key piece of the defense all year. Kaden does a great job bouncing back from Free Safety to Strong Safety when needed. He finished up the game with 6 total tackles.

Special Teams – Copen Barker:  Copen gave great effort on all special teams. He constantly flies down the field, and makes plays.

Junior Varsity – Ryan Newsome:  Ryan made a quick move this past week from WR to QB. He took on the challenge and stepped up when he was needed for his teammates. He played extremely well in the JV win, and continues to get better.

Scout Team – Chase Shoop:  Chase consistently jumps in on scout teams and plays multiple positions. He does a great job at giving a great look, and is improving every single day.
