TVHS head football coach Austin Jones and his staff selected the following Scottie footballers as Players of the Week for their efforts in last Friday night’s 57-28 win at Clinton Massie. Coach Jones offers the following on the team’s Week 3 ‘Players of the Week’.

Offense- Leevi Wade/ Stone Spiker

Leevi: Broke the school single game rushing record, previously held and set by him in week #1, with 345 rushing yards on 24 carries and 6 TD’s.

Stone: Stone played confident on the field, and made plays when needed. He finished up with 180 yards passing and a passing touchdown, along with 50 yards on the ground.

Defense – Lane Taylor:  Lane played tough and physical on the opponent’s strong side all night. He finished up with 5 tackles, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.

Special Teams- Logan Clapper:  Logan flew around the field all night offensively and defensively. He made multiple tackles, and caused a fumble on defense. Logan did a fantastic job with his holds and blocking on PAT’s as well.

JV- Brodey Besser:  Brodey ran extremely hard in the game. He fought hard for extra yards, and made multiple stopson defense.

Scout Team –  Kyle Newell: Kyle gives a great look to all his teammates, while focusing on improving his own skills inpractice everyday. He is one of the first people to jump in on scout team, and will play everyposition. He is an ultimate team player.
